Formerly called Third World Orientation, RSJO is an entirely student-led and organized orientation that aims to build community amongst students of color and other marginalized students, in addition to fostering notions of allyship and group solidarity. RSJO provides a space for incoming 1Ls to learn how to navigate law school and the legal profession through panels with radical movement lawyers, workshops on deconstructing race in the law, and activities that build community amongst the incoming class. The goal of the orientation is to provide incoming students tools to not only challenge what it means to be in law school but to also find ways to challenge the legal system. To provide incoming students with these essential tools, we need to raise money to provide honoraria for the speakers and food for attendees. With your modest contribution of even $10, we can guarantee a supportive, inclusive, and reflective student-led space for the incoming 1L class.
